Jaclyn Peterson of Wilson, Wis. had a double banner day at the International Guernsey Show at World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. The junior exhibitor topped both the Open and Junior Guernsey show earning Grand Champion honors with her homebred cow, Misty Meadows Adacka Pixie. Peterson and Pixie were presented the Udder Comfort $1,000 Cash Award. Tyler, Paige & Justin Chupp and Chupps Farm Mentor Mary-ET was tapped as the Reserve Grand Champion of the Open Guernsey show.
Austin & Landen Knapp of Epworth, Iowa took home both Premier Breeder and Exhibitor honors. This is the second year the team has nabbed these honors. A new Premier Sire was named, a son of the 2007 Supreme Champion Pistachio Pie, Indian Acres American Pie.
Judge Adam Liddle, of Argyle N.Y. and owner of Liddleholme Farm, judged 229 animals, of which 75 were juniors, with the help of Associate Judge William Peck. The show results and placings are as follows:
