Milk futures mostly lower, cash dairy mostly higher

In Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were mostly lower, following through on Tuesday’s trends. January was up $.01 at $16.51, February was down $.08 at $16.84, March was $.14 lower at $17.03, and April was down $.11 at $17.25.

Cash cheese blocks were down $.01 at $1.66. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.66. Barrels held at $1.595.

Butter was up $.04 at $2.26. There were a total of fourteen trades, from two at $2.195 to one at $2.26.

Nonfat dry milk was $.0075 higher at $1.0275. There were two loads sold, one at $1.025 and one at $1.0275. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $1.0225. The last uncovered offer was for two loads at $1.05.
