In Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, after the long holiday weekend, milk futures were mostly up modestly, buying back some of last Wednesday’s losses. November was the exception, down $.02 at $16.72, December was up $.07 at $16.93, January was $.16 higher at $16.37, and February was up $.08 at $16.23.
Cash cheese was lower. Blocks were down $.015 at $1.845 with one load sold. Barrels were $.015 lower at $1.675. There were three loads sold at $1.68. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.675.
Butter was up $.0525 at $2.10. There was one load sold at $2.10 and one sold at $2.0975. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.08.
Nonfat dry milk was $.015 higher at $.92. There were two loads sold at $.905 and one at $.91. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $.92.
