Guinness World Record holder, Canada’s highest lifetime producer for milk, fat and protein for all-time, Gillette E Smurf (Ex-91-2E), was put to sleep on May 12th at 18 years of age. Bred and owned throughout her career by Ferme Gillette Inc., Embrun, Ont., Smurf made a total of 247,711 kg milk, 3.6%, 8877 kg fat, 3.1%, 7762 kg protein (350-334-336) in 11 lactations or 546,100 lbs. milk, 19,570 lbs. fat and 17,112 lbs. protein.
