The high sellers were Lots 11 and 94 (pictured) selling for $190,000 and $175,000 respectively.
The 6th Edition of the by-annual Oakfield Corners Dairy Spring Sensation Sale was a huge success. Hosted at Lamb farms #2 with their new genetics barn on display there was a great time for all those in attendance. The sale featured a line up of home-bred animals from the heart of the herd, and was well received by buyers, averaging $14,509, with a gross of $1,117,400 on 74 live lots.
Topping the sale was lot 11 – OCD Delta Missy, at $190,000. Delta Missy is the #8 GTPI heifer in the breed for April at +2765, This Jan 2015 Delta is goes back to World Dairy Expo and Royal Winter fair grand champion Eastside Lewisdale Gold Missy EX-95 14*. She was purchased by Progenesis.
The 2nd highest seller of the day was OCD SS Free Willy 4224 a Feb 2015 Cogent Supershot daughter from OCD Mogul Free Willy who sold for $175,000. From the Markwell BStar Raven EX-95 GMD DOMm SS Free Willy 4224 has a GTPI of +2708.
Rounding out the top three high sellers was Lot 19 at $70,000. OCD Supersire 9882-ET is a +2624GTPI, December 2013 Supersire from a VG88Robust, and then 8 more generations of EX and VG dams. Pine Tree Dairy, OH made her their final selection.
