Mike and Julie Duckett and the team at Duckett Holsteins hosted a very successful Summer Selections Sale 2021. The sale averaged $17,702 on 93 lots with a gross of $1,646,350. The sale was managed by MD-Hillbrook – Borderview Genetics Dairy Sales Alliance.
Oakfield Solomon Footloose
Topping the sale was Lot 73 – $355,000 – Oakfield Solomon Footloose, EX-94 EX-98-MS. Footloose, an early contender for WDE was the 2020 All-American Junior 3-Year-Old from an EX-94 Braxton then EX-97 2-time WDE Supreme Champion Harvue Roy Frosty. She was consigned by Michael & Julie Duckett and Tim & Sharyn Abbott, WI and was purchased by Vierra Dairy, CA who make their first big splash into the Holstein side after many big purchases in Jerseys.
The 2nd highest seller was lot 58 – $157,000 – Ladyrose Caught Your Eye-ET, VG-89 EX-MS @ 2-03. She is a junior 2-year-old Unix with +3.44T out of Rosedale Achieverslegacy-ET VG-89, All-American Milking Yearling 2017 then EX-95 2E Rosedale Lexington EX-95 2E. Caught Your Eye was consigned by Dymentholm Genetics & Evolution Holsteins, ON and purchased by Kingsway, Riverdown & Millen Farms, ON.
Rounding out the top sellers was lot 76 – $130,000 – Idee Doorman Lysa EX-94, the 2019 Reserve All-American and Reserve All-Canadian Junior 3-Year-Old out of EX-95 Royal Winter Fair Grand Champion Idee Windbrook Lynzi. She was consigned by Michael & Julie Duckett, WI and purchased by Elmvue, NY
