Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted nine requests for export assistance to sell 2.155 million lbs. of Cheddar, Gouda and Monterey Jack cheese, 176,370 lbs. of butter and 176,370 lbs. of whole milk powder to customers in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. Products are contracted for delivery from December 2015 through June 2016.
Year-to-date, CWT has assisted member cooperatives to sell 50.500 million lbs. of cheese, 25.086 million lbs. of butter and 40.194 million lbs. of whole milk powder to 35 countries. The amount of dairy products represent the equivalent of 1.324 billion lbs. of milk on a milkfat basis. CWT pays export assistance to the bidders only when product delivery is verified.
