Crews on scene of barn fire at Greene County dairy farm

Friday, January 31st, 2020

Crews are currently on the scene of a barn fire in Greene County in the 1300 block of Brown Springs Road.

Crews were called to the scene after 3 a.m. after callers said they heard explosions at the farm.

Dispatchers were told that fuel was allegedly kept inside the barn.

No injuries have been reported, but officials warn that cows were loose as a result of the fire and were scattered across the area.

Officials at the scene say the cows are now in a fenced-in area.

The area of Brown Springs Road has been shut down, and there is no word yet on when it will reopen.

Multiple crews are responding to the fire.
