Sweet-Pepper Black Francesca 3E-94 had many amazing achievements in her show career, but since her passing three years ago, it’s now her son that is making his own record achievements. (Read more: The Magic of Francesca) Her owner Beverly Donovan in support the 100 Year Anniversary of The BIG E, and the 2016 Ayrshire World Conference lead to the decision to sell five units of Francesca’s son Deer Hill Francis on the Deer Hill Ayrshires page, with100% of proceeds went to BIG E Ayrshire Awards fund for the 2016 100th Anniversary Show and USA Ayrshire World Conference to be kicked off at the BIG E.. The support was overwhelming with what is said to be a new Ayrshire record price of $651 per unit going to the BIG E and into the Ayrshire Exhibitor Fund. The successful buyer was Terri Lawton from Foxborough, Massachusetts. Terri comments that “these genetics could be the most influential of the breed!” Contender was Kurt Wolf from Bankston, Iowa, who had successfully purchased Francis semen in a previous auction run by the Bullvine that Beverly had donated in support of Reese Burdette.
