The Pedigree Power II Sale took place on Thursday, November 14th at Seagull Bay Dairy in American Falls, ID. The Sale averaged an outstanding $15,700, and was hosted by Seagull Bay Dairy and Triple Crown Genetics.
Seagull-Bay Alexa L-ET, sold to Morsan Farms for $83,000
The top seller was lot 50 – $83,000 – Seagull-Bay Alexa L-ET, sold to Morsan Farms. Alexa is in the top 25 for PTAP in the breed and is the #15 gTPI Supersire daughter in the world. Her dam, Pine-Tree Dorey Alexa II VG-86-2yr is proving to be a genomic giant with sons at +2473 gTPI and daughters over +2500 gTPI.
The second highest seller was Lot 1 – $49,000 – Seagull-Bay Shauna Saturn who sold to Aurora Ridge Dairy & Dave Rama. Shauna Saturn is a daughter of non other than Ammon-Peachy Shauna VG-87 2 year old, who was nominated Global Cow of the Year in 2013, as well as voted World’s Favorite Planet daughter in 2012, and finished 5th in the 2012 Bullvine Golden Dam Contest.
The third highest seller was also a daughter of Shauna Seagull-Bay SH Maureen (lot 3) who sold for $36,000 to Mitch Hocket & Triple Crown Genetics. This Numbero Uno daughter has been in high demand with embryos being sold for $3,500 a piece.
