The dynamic team at ferme Blondin hosted the Blondin and Partners sale sold 110 head to an outstanding $6,750 average. Held at their new freestall facility the action was jumping from the first lot that entered the ring.
Allstar LM Durbin Angel
Topping the sale at $60,000 was the 1st Senior Two Year Old and HM Intermediate Champion from the 2017 Quebec Spring Show, Allstar LM Durbin Angel, Lot 1. Angel has 4 EX dams and comes from the Adeen, Alicia @ Alana family. Fresh again Angel has caught the eye of many tanbark enthusiasts and will be one to watch for in the 4yr old class on the trail this summer.
PIERSTEIN WINDBROOK ALACAZAM
The 2nd highest seller of the day was Lot #2 Pierstein Windbrook Alacazam. The 1st place four-year-old from the recent Quebec Spring Show, Alacazam has 3 EX dams also from the Adeen and Alacia families, with her dam being non-other than the 2013 Unanimous All-Canadian Five Year Old MS Goldwyn Alana.
Rounding out the top sellers at $34,000 was Blondin Novo Alamana. A Nov 16 Progenesis Novo ,Fresh since Dec alamana was the 3rd place Senior 2 year old at the Quebec Spring Show and was Bred May 10 to sexed Thunder Storm. With a GLPI of +3109 Alamana has 12 generations of VG or EX behind her going back to the Roycedale Sheik Adrienne cow family.
Top selling heifer at $27,500 was Blondin Sidekick Charabia. Purchased by Quality Holsteins, Agriber & Beckridge, Charabia was the 2nd senior calf at the Quebec Spring Show and has a Conf of +16 and GPTAT of +3.85. Her 2nd dam is the Reserve Grand Champion from the 2011 World Dairy Expo, Silvermaple Damion Camomile.
