“Swissconsin” National Sale Reports Great Success

An outstanding line-up of high caliber cattle crossed over the shavings in the Wisconsin National Sale. The 61 lots commanded an average price of $4,574. The 55 buyers took the consignments home to 17 states and Columbia, SA.

Lot 1, Voelkers Brook Cara the #1 Genomic heifer in the US garnered the top price of $21,500 from David Kulp & Dan Chard, Manheim, PA. Cara is from two generations of EX A.I. bull mothers that include her Grandam, the 2009 All American Five-Year-Old Voelkers Migel Candid. She sold with much A.I. contract interest. Her consignor was Dayne Voelker, Volkers Swiss, Perryville, MO.

Lot 72, Random Luck Legacy Perri ET EX-90 90-MS, a Senior Three-Year-Old for 2013 was the next high sellter at $13,000. Her dam is Random Luck KB Phoebe EX-93 94-MS 2E. Perri sold fresh and looks like an All American contender!  Ron Kelm added her to his fine herd at Markesan, WI. Consignors were Random Luck, Rick & Lisa Thompson, and Ole Acres, Ryan & Kara Olson, Darlington, WI.

Other notable high sellers were Lot 15 Groves-Sun Total Trustie ET for $9,700. This fancy calf was consigned by Sunshine Associates & Grant Groves, Whitewater, WI. She now is owned by Brittany & Grant Groves, Billings MO.  Lot 20, the 1st choice female of 8 Supreme and 2 Bonanza ET calves due in September and October brought $8,200 from Elite Dairy, Copake, NY.  The consignor was Hills Valley Farm LLC, Cattaraugus, NY.
Lot 61, Dublin Hills Shaeley-ET, a special heifer backed by 8 generations of Excellent dams rang the bell at $8,000 going to Junior Member Noah Iager, Boonsboro, MD.  Nichelle Upton of the Dennis Smith Family were the consignors.  Lot 74 Precious B Pretty-ET is heading to California. She will be joining the Regusci Family in Modesto at the $8,000 price tag. Pretty is a Bonanza daughter of Random Luck V Precious EX-91 91-MS.  The consignors were the trio of Random Luck, Voegeli and Reidland Farms Darlington, WI.

Cattle were presented by Jennifer Rule, Kristin Sprengeler, Kyle and Michael Barton.

The sale crew was Dale Bendig, Allyn and Andy Paulson, Andrew Lenhart, Mark Fisher, Aaron Johnson, Robert Barber and the Barton Brothers.  The active sale force was Darrell A. Worden, Lee Barber, Brian Garrison, Dan Gilbert, Dennis Mashek, Dave Sprengeler and David Wallace.
