Archrival arrived in Australia from a purchase on the Eurogenes Internet auction and is is sired by Mapple Downs I GW Atwood & from Dam Bolleholster Shottle Anya VG 87 2yrs.
Richard Hull of Eclipse Holsteins is excited about this great result. “I could see that Anya had already produced high PTAT daughters with sires such as Sanchez & now crossed with high type Atwood the calves could be even better. I loved my Atwood heifers from Shottle dams & wanted to breed a high type heifer in Australia from this combination & so I purchased them. Little did i know the number 1 PTAT bull worldwide was on his way to Australia.”
Archrival’s pedigree traces maternally through Shottle Anya VG 87 2yrs, Sherona-Hill Champ Angel VG 89 , Amlaird Lee Alice EX94 back to Kingstead chief Adeen EX 95 which is also of course the third dam of Atwood. Therefore Archrival has Chief Adeen as the 4th dam on both sides of his pedigree. This further proves the point on how powerful Chief Adeen’s genetics are & also how complimentary it can be to put such great genetics into a pedigree more than once.
Eclipse Holsteins is not new to breeding high PTAT holsteins with Eclipse Atwood Princess 7 from Eclipse Damion G Princess VG 86 2yr being the number 1 PTAT heifer worldwide too with 4.85 PTAT.
Archrival stands at Total Livestock Genetics, Camperdown Australia (previous home of Millionaire High Type sire Ladino Park Talent). He qualifies for all markets except EU & China. Archrival is being marketed by Peter Semmens of Universal Sires in Australia, with Sexing Technologies marketing him in all other international markets.
