Milk Futures Lower, Cash Cheese Steady

In Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were lower, taking back Thursday’s gains and then some. February was down $.10 at $13.83 and March was $.12 lower at $13.96, while April was down $.16 at $13.96 and May was $.23 lower at $14.15.

In the spot market, cash cheese was unchanged. Barrels held at $1.465. Blocks were steady at $1.47. There was one load sold at $1.4675 and the last bid unfilled was on one load at the closing price.

Butter was $.03 lower at $2.17, with one load sold.

Grade A nonfat dry milk was up $.015 at $.75. There were two loads sold at that price and the last bid unfilled was for two loads, also at $.75. The last offer uncovered was for three loads at $.76.
