Fire destroys Bydand Farm

Crews from five fire stations were called to a barn fire northeast of Guelph on Tuesday.

Flames were reported coming from a dairy farm of Scott and Katrina Gordon’s Bydand Farm on Wellington Road 29, north of Rockwood and just north of Guelph Lake, around 11:30 a.m.

The barn was destroyed in the fire. They got the cows out and they are now at a local barn that had dispersed in the spring.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
