Apple Mania was held Friday, March 20, at the Great Northern in Fond du Lac, WI. A large crowd gathered for the sale, featuring consignments from the heart of the KHW Regiment Apple-Red (EX-96) family. The sale averaged $6717 on 92 lots with cattle going to buyers from 14 states, Canada and Germany.
Topping the sale at $50,000 was the first lot sold of the day, Lot 99, KHW Regiment Apple A2-Red-ETN (EX-91). A clone of Apple, she sold due in June to Blondin Integral with an ultrasound heifer. Frank and Carol Borba and Frank and Diane Borba purchased her. She was consigned by Apple Partners II, Lanark, IL.
Second high seller of the day at $20,000 was Lot 71, Gold Barbara Burgundy-ET *RC, consigned by Ernest Kueffner, Matt Iager, River Valley & St Jacobs, Boonsboro, MD. A fancy *RC Absolute October calf, her dam is 3X All-American Butz-Butler Gold Barbara-ET (EX-92). She sold to Beth & Wayne Glaeser, Oakdale, CA.
