Holstein International – Where should we start? With the impressive champion, Ilma, or the successful National sale of Italy? We begin with M.E.Dal Stormatic Ilma, who certainly deserved the Grand Champion title which judge Giuseppe Beltramino assigned her. The white Stormatic daughter of owners Ladina & Al.Be.Ro herewith added another important title to her honor list; in 2010 she became known all over the world after winning the intermediate championship at the European show. A promising Reserve Grand Champion was the young Pronto daughter Conant-Dirigo Roxette (of Al.Be.Ro), who earlier that day had become Young Cow Champion. We also mention the Honorable Mention of the Grand Champion finale: that was Drake daughter Vanzetti Ninnaoh, the cow that earlier captured the reserve title with the seniors. On to the sale: Never before had Italy’s National sale reached such a level: a wonderful average of €13,900 over 11 lots, with a great top price of €40,500 for a 1st choice Mascalese from Numero Uno’s Super sister. Another top seller was the End-Story out of Muri Planet Popsy: €30,000.
