Money for the proposed Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc County continues to come in from supporters of the state’s agricultural industry. The developers of the state-of-the-art facility have received a $100,000 gift from Milk Source LLC.
“Agriculture in the 21st Century has achieved the lowest carbon footprint and highest standards of animal care in human history,” said Milk Source Partner Jim Ostrom. “We are excited to share this passion with future visitors of the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center.”
Education Director Melissa Bender says the latest gift brings the project’s total fundraising level to more than 92-percent of its $13 million goal.
The center expects to be completed and opened to the public by early next year.
