About 1500 spectators anxiously awaited as Judge Roger Frossard from Switzerland, in a sea of majestic smoke selected FG Madame a Destry daughter from the herd of Henrik Wille this past week as his Grand Champion at the Schau der Besten in Germany. The 3rd lactation Destry-daughter, who is out of Wille’s legendary Red show-cow Talent Maxima. This makes it two years in a row for Henrik to take home Grand Champion honors as “Lady Gaga” was last years champion for Henrik. When asked “What is the secret of his winning?” Henrik replied, “We work all day and night for the cows, and we’re preparing for the whole year to this day.” Judge Frossard praised FG Madame for a beautiful udder, good teat position, a clear foundation (legs) and a wide chest and width throughout.

Every year the farmers with their best cows are drawn to Lower Saxony, which has a reputation as a horse town. “This is a very special day,” says Delmenhorster farmer Jörg Stubbemann, who has 200 cows in the stable. He is the honorary director of the organizer Masterrind and has sent the four-year-old cow “Xalu” in Verden. “She’s only sixth in her group. I’m a little disappointed, “says Stubbemann, winking.
The spectacular event, which gathered a huge international crowd, proved why it is regarded as one of the best shows in Germany.
