Bachmann Dominator Pauline is the first Swiss red-and-white cow to pass the 200,000 kg mark.
The Dominator daughter of Albert and Frédéric Bachmann from Estavayer-le-Lac was honored last week at the Swisscow 2021 event, after being promoted to two hundred tons earlier this summer. In Switzerland, only Wyss Haiti (by Rudolph) preceded Pauline as a two-hundred-tonner.
In eleven lactations
The red & white Pauline, who turns 18 this month, produced a total of 200,458 kg of milk with 3.92% fat and 3.46% protein. She achieved this feat in eleven lactations, with an average production per day of life of 30.9 kg of milk. She last calved almost three years ago.
Longevity in family tree
The two-hundred-tonner does not get its lifespan from a stranger. Her mother, Bachmann Rubens Prima, who was classified with 93 points, also gave almost 100,000 kg of milk. Even further in the pedigree appears Nadine (by Weavimp), who became general champion at the Expo Bulle in 1989 and produced a total of 96,000 kg of milk.
On the Bachmann family’s 80-cow farm, a total of 24 cows have so far passed the 100,000 kg milk mark.
