Next Saturday 24th will be celebrated a new edition of the Spanish Holstein Show organized by CONAFE (Spanish Holstein Confederation) with the collaboration of Asturiana de Control Lechero-Asociación Frisona (ASCOLAF) and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Rural Development and Natural Resources of the Government of the Principality of Asturias, the City Council of Gijón, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Chamber of Commerce of Gijón, CLAS, Caja Rural de Gijón and Caja Rural de Asturias.
As usual since 2002, the Monographic Fair of the Field and the Agricultural, Livestock, Forestry and Fishing Industries of Asturias, AGROPEC, will be the framework of the 42º edition of the Spanish Holstein Show.
Together with the Spanish Holstein Show, it celebrates the XXI National Showmanship, where the expertises value how the handlers present the animals on the ring. It will be held on Sunday 25th.
News of the Spanish National Holstein Show 2022
The new Calves and Red Cows Championships will be the main novelty of the CONAFE Spanish National Holstein Show 2022.
In addition, the Best Autonomy award will be enhanced with the judge choosing the two best groups of animals on the ring, instead of doing it by points, as it has been done in recent editions.
The recognition section launched last year will also be held out of competition, which consists of an exhibition on the ring of outstanding cows, according to morphological criteria (qualified 4EX or more; minimum lifetime production 80,000 kg) or productive (100,000 kg or more); minimum MB qualification, with the novelty in this 2022 edition that these animals will compete within their own section.
One more time, the celebration of the Spanish Holstein Show CONAFE 2022 will be accompanied by the exhibition of different companies related to the livestock sector.
