A dairy farm was completely destroyed by the flames on Sunday, on the road  from Casimir to Ange-Gardien.

Despite all the efforts of the owners of the Janibert farm and their daughter, who saw the flames through the window of her room shortly after 2am, the 160 cows that were inside could not be saved. Only four of them, who were outside, were rescued. Gestating, they were taken care of by a neighbor, as well as their two horses.

The firemen were called by the owners and by a passerby in the middle of the night. Once there, they could only notice the extent of the fire, call for reinforcements from several other municipalities and adopt a defensive mode to overcome the blaze. Still Sunday afternoon, the firemen were at work to extinguish what was still inflamed, including a silo converted into a hay warehouse. The mechanical shovels were also at work.

As for the parents, grandparents and children of the Robert family, they watched the work of a lifetime as a smoke disappear.
