The first 4 lots each sold for $160,000.00 and over with the top seller of the night, T-Gen- AC Supersire RUTH-ET, selling for $162,000.00! The 58 lots of live animals and first choices sale total was well over 2 million dollars with an average of $35, 775.00. The 5 embryo lots were a popular alternative for some buyers’ averaging over$1400.00 per embryo.
It was a great night for genomics as buyers’ proved that these top genomic animals are sought after. The deep pedigrees, chart topping genetics and breed leading sires were the combination that breeders were looking for.
The sale topper, T-GEN-AC Supersire RUTH-ET (Lot 3) is from the heart of TAG, a female from the COMPASS herd consigned by Tranquillity Farms and Andrew Clark and purchased by the Progenesis Group. She’s a chart topper from the Domain family and sister to the newly released sire, PRIDE. RUTH is the # 3 GTPI female (+2619 GTPI) and is the #2 Supersire in the breed.
Second highest seller was Seagull-Bay Ssire DEBRA-ET (Lot 4) at $161,000 consigned by Triple Crown Genetics, Harv Schoon and Jack Lerch and also purchased by the Progenesis Group. Another early Supersire to be offered, DEBRA is the #4 GTPI (+2604 GTPI) Supersire in the breed from a popular outcross maternal family.
