Plans are well underway for the 2013 Dairy Evaluation Clinic (formerly known as judging conferences) to be held at the farm of Quality Holsteins. York County has taken on the responsibility of organizing this year’s educational event. This is the only date for a clinic in East-Central Ontario so all dairy enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. The Invitational Official Conference will be held at the same location that date. Hopefully this will help to arrange car pools to the event.

The day is organized annually with the purpose of educating breeders, 4-H’ers and all individuals interested in learning about dairy cattle evaluation skills, proper conformation, judging techniques, showmanship and breed trends. Attendees will not be required to give reasons unless they wish to do so.

Coaches of 4-H Judging Teams, who plan to compete at the 2013 Inter-County Dairy Judging Competition to be held at the Lindsay Fairgrounds on July 24th are encouraged to participate with their teams. Counties that have at least two (2) or four (4) 4-H members register attendance at this judging school can apply to the Ontario Joint Dairy Breeds to have one or two team registrations paid for the Inter-County Judging Competition.

The clinic will run from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you on May 18th.

Other Clinic dates are:
May 11th – Hanalee Holsteins, 355320 Line 35, Embro
July 10 – Metcalfe Fairgrounds
