As Premier Select Sires evaluates and aligns processes within our newly expanded organization, we continue to make organizational changes to more clearly position talent and leadership to best meet our organizational goals.
We are pleased to announce that Tim Barnes will lead the effort of unifying our semen and product distribution as Distribution Director for Premier Select Sires.
Barnes has a tremendous amount of experience within the Select Sires system and has held many leadership roles. Barnes started his career in 1983 as an Area Sales Manager in central Tennessee. As his career progressed, he took on increasing responsibilities in the areas of AI training, distribution, marketing and employee training. He has also led product sales development efforts. Most recently, Barnes has developed a successful distribution network of 80 independent beef representatives across the Southeast area.
Barnes has already been working closely with PA Distribution Manager Amanda Landsiedel and her team to make improvements, and together they will work to create a dynamic, progressive program to best meet the needs of our employees and member customers.
Joe Fowler has been named Regional Sales Manager for the new Southwest Region of Premier Select Sires. This region will encompass the former Southeast area, and Fowler will directly supervise the Sales Representatives and Reproductive Service Specialists in that area.
Fowler started his career in 1982 as an Area Sales Manager and has taken on increasing responsibilities since, including implementing the SMS and PGA programs for Southeast Select Sires. He has most recently headed up the growth and development of the large herd markets and has worked closely with the Southeast Select Sires general manager and board of directors to successfully grow the entire business in many areas. Fowler will bring 37+ years of sales experience and vast knowledge in large herd development to provide council and guidance across all regions of Premier Select Sires.
In his new role, Fowler will work with other employees to continue the development of the sales market and insure we are meeting the needs of our customers.
