Paul Trapp and Mike Farlinger to judge 2020 National Holstein Shows


Holstein Canada is pleased to announce the two judges selected by exhibitor vote to officiate the National Black and White Holstein Show and the National Red and White Holstein Show during the 2020 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair:

2020 National Black and White Holstein Show Judge: Paul Trapp, Taylor, Wisconsin

Paul Trapp has judged shows at the local, state and national levels in 20 different states and 10 different countries, including five times at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. He owns an elite group of registered Brown Swiss, Jerseys and Holsteins with his wife and two sons, and they have received multiple All-American nominations across all three breeds. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Paul earned All-American judging honours in both the National 4-H and College contests. He is currently a product acquisition specialist for Semex.

2020 National Red and White Holstein Show Judge: Mike Farlinger, Morrisburg, Ontario

Mike Farlinger owns and operates Signature Holsteins in Morrisburg, Ontario with his wife Thea; they milk 60 cows in a tie-stall facility and crop 450 acres. Signature Holsteins has bred or owned over 30 nominees for All-Ontario, All-Canadian and All-American awards. Mike has judged many shows across North America, including the Ontario Summer Show and a number of county shows throughout Canada and the United States. In 2018, Mike officiated a show in Rafaela, Argentina, and in 2019 judged the Championship Show in Uruguay.
