Milk & Honey Vaden Fern Sells for $80,000 at The Best of Triple-T & Heath Sale

After a few powerful storms passed a big crowd enjoyed the camaraderie of attending a live sale with much better weather at The Best of Triple-T & Heath Sale on Saturday, May 30th, 2020.  The Thomas family used the on-farm location to host this sale as well as also hosting the Triple-T Holsteins Tag Sale.

85 live lots and choices averaged $5,787. Five genomic lots cataloged sold online on the original March 27th sale date and averaged $30,800 – combining the two results in an average of $7,097 on 90 lots. Also, a select group of Holsteins and Red & Whites were admired by the sale crowd and online bids were taken on May 29th and through the day on May 30th before concluding that night. That group was also well-appreciated as 23 lots averaged $4,713.

Milk & Honey Vaden Fern-ET

Topping the sale was lot 46 at $80,000 – Milk & Honey Vaden Fern-ET, a junior 2-year-old Vaden fresh in March and ready to show.  She is from a EX-94 show-winning Belmont dam, next dam EX-95 Vindication. She was consigned by Triple T, Kelly Barbee & Michael Heath, OH and purchased by  Vierra Dairy, CA

The 2nd highest seller of the day was lot 7 at $28,500 – Du Sillon AB Flying On My Own-ET, a fancy 12/19 VIP from five VG & EX Canadian dams – from the same family as Feliz Navidad and Fabienne.  She was consigned Ferme Du Sillon & Anthony Bilodeau, QC and purchased by Gene Iager, MD

Rounding out the top sellers was Lot 4 at $24,000 – Arethusa Andreas Sunlight, a stylish Andreas fall calf out of Arethusa Impression Sunshine EX-94, then EX-94 Vindication Season, All-Canadian Mature Cow in 2012. She was consigned by Arethusa Farm, CT and purchased by Vierra Dairy, CA.
