Milk Futures Up, Cash Cheese Down

Breaking News ScreenIn Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were up modestly, bouncing back a bit after some of the recent losses. April was $.02 higher at $13.72, May was up $.04 at $13.73, June was $.04 higher at $13.83, and July was up $.04 at $14.12.

Over in the spot market, cash cheese was lower. Barrels were down $.025 at $1.4175. There were two loads sold, one at the closing price and one at $1.42. The last offer uncovered was for one load at $1.425. Blocks were one and a quarter lower at $1.42. The last offer uncovered was for one load at one forty two.

Butter was unchanged at $2.08. The last bid unfilled was on two loads at $2.04. The last offer uncovered was for one load at $2.10.

Nonfat dry milk held at its all-time low of $.69. There was one load sold at that price and the last bid unfilled was on one load, also at $.69. The last offer uncovered was for one load at $.70.
