In Class at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were mixed, consolidating. November was down $.03 at $16.68, December was up $.05 at $16.33, January was $.03 higher at $15.85, and February was up $.01 at $15.91.
Cash cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.885. Barrels were $.05 lower at $1.705. There were three loads sold, all at $1.715. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.705.
Butter was down $.02 at $1.91 with one load sold. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.96.
Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $.8775 with one load sold. The last unfilled bid was on one load, also at $.8775. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.90.
Cooperatives Working Together announced the acceptance of 11 requests for export assistance. That covers 1.609 million pounds of Cheddar, Gouda, and Monterey Jack cheeses, and 308,647 tons of butter. The products are headed to Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania with delivery set for November 2016 through February 2017.
