Bill Young Accepts New Title at Select Sires

Bill Young of Collingwood, Ontario, assumes new responsibilities at Select Sires Inc. as the vice president of subsidiaries and will also continue in his current capacity as chief executive officer of Select Sires GenerVations. In this new role, he will provide leadership and direction for the managers of Select Sires’ subsidiaries in the Americas and collaborate on strategic direction, business management and policy.

“Bill has gained valuable experience while managing the growth and development of Select Sires’ long-term subsidiary, Select Sires GenerVations, including the integration of GenerVations in 2014. We are excited for Bill to share these experiences and strategies for growth with our subsidiary managers in Latin America and look forward to the continued success and market development,” says Todd Kranz, chief operating officer.

In Young’s 19-year tenure with Select Sires Canada and Select Sires GenerVations, he managed the successful amalgamation with GenerVations and Western Canada. His determination and leadership yielded exponential sales growth with expanded market share. For many of those years, Young also managed a proving program with more than 50 bulls.

Young is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a master of business administration in international business.
