Dezi Takes Home Grand Champion Honors at 2017 Maryland State Fair Holstein Show


Cache-Valley Lheros 2331-ET (Lheros), 1st Long Time Production Cow, Grand Champion & Supreme Champion for Ernest Kueffner & Terri Packard, MD

Judge Rodger Turner selected the winning Long Time Production class winner, Cache-Valley Lheros 2331-ET, as his Grand Champion of the 2017 Maryland State Fair Holstein Show for her owners Ernest Kueffner & Terri Packard.  Dezi as she has been nicknamed by her former owner Norman Nabholz then went on to be named Supreme Champion of the whole show.  Taking home Reserve Champion honors was Budjon-Vail Aftershock Arya-ET (Aftershock), the Intermediate Champion and 1st Sr 3YR Old for owners Maple Dell Farms.  Rounding out the Champions was Oconnors Ladd Lacey-ET (Ladd P) the 1st 4YR Old for her owners Bulldog Holsteins.  

For his Junior Champion, Judge Turner selected Kingsway Soloman Glaze (Defiant), the 1st Summer Yearling, exhibited by Hill, Merwarth, Bradshaw, Connelly & MB-Lucky Lady.  Reserve Junior Champion was the 1st place Spring Calf, Savage Leigh Avalanche Levi (Avalanche),  exhibited by Kendall Welsh followed by the 1st place Winter Calf,  KA-Brat Avalanch Lulu (Avalanche),  exhibited by Jennifer Hill, Bratcher Dairy & George Spoonamore.
