Here we go, Round 3! It’s Thursday morning of Expo and I will be making my way through the Exhibition Hall once more.
But first, I’d like to share my wonderful experience last night at the Dairy Girl Network Social. For being only the 3rd annual event, there were more than 200 dairy women present from all over the country. We represented all aspects of the industry, from farm owners to technical consultants and financial advisors.
It was evident in the loud and lively room that women were there to network. Pictured here are my Wisconsin Moms, Sarah and Chase, and my friends Annalicia and Chloe, who also enjoyed the evening.

Every night of the week is a breed sale where you can bid on some of the best. Last night (Wednesday) was the Top of the World Jersey sale; today features the Premier Brown Swiss and Milking Shorthorn sales and then the highlight sale is tomorrow night, the World Classic Holstein sale.

What’s on the lunch menu? Grilled cheese and milkshakes, of course!
The Grilled Cheese Stand here at Expo is a tradition and a must-try if you visit! Being entirely student run, this booth supports college dairy students for educational trips and activities. Sandwiches are only $2 and milkshakes just $1. You can choose from your traditional American and Swiss cheese or try the flavor of the day.
My favorites: the traditional American cheese and chocolate shake. And check out the line, that’s how good this place is! Don’t worry, it moves quickly. #WDE50 #CAdairygirl
What am I excited about tomorrow? Meeting Bonnie Mohr! Bonnie is an amazing artist that is known for her beautiful and accurate cows and farm scenes. Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day she will be signing her painting “Birth of an Industry” so I don’t want to miss it! #WDE50 #CAdairygirl
