Hannah Worden joins the ABS Global team as Cornerstone specialist and GMS evaluator for the New York and New England areas.
After graduating from Cornell University, Worden has taken on various roles in the industry. She was a member of the feed laboratory team at Denele Analytical in California, where she ran feed samples and prepared reports for clients. Worden has also been an assistant herdsman for her family’s 900-cow dairy, Will-O-Crest Farm, where some of her tasks included maintaining Dairy Comp 305 and clipping and assisting with picturing cows.
Worden previously held a Cornerstone specialist position in California before a move back home to New York. She is also a graduate of GMS school and is currently responsible for GMS evaluating some herds in the western New York.
“Hannah’s knowledge of the dairy industry and previous experience with ABS will make her a great asset to the team,” stated Josey Morris, U.S. progeny promotions supervisor. “We look forward to her ability to build on ABS Global’s vision, strategy and value.”
As an ABS Cornerstone specialist, Worden will be responsible for assisting field staff with education and promotion of developing new herds, as well as working with staff to evaluate and maintain data in herds already participating in the ABS Cornerstone program. She will be responsible for on-farm evaluation, coordinating and assisting with picturing of ABS sired progeny along with arranging and conducting ABS daughter and herd tours. Worden will also be working with the GMS program on farms in the northeast.
