Washington Dairy Hit With $1.85 Million Safety-Violation Fine

A Washington state dairy with a history of worker amputation and crushing injuries faces a fine of $1.85 million for alleged safety violations, the second-largest ever issued by the state regulators.

The Washington Department of Labor and Industries citedAndersen Dairy Inc. and affiliate Green Willow Trucking for 22 serious and willful violations, 16 of them rising to the level of “egregious,” a Sept. 24 press release said.
