In planning the National Holstein Convention for this year, Holstein Canada understood the limitations and financial risk faced by the 2021 Committee. Due to pressure from Covid-19 and the need for contingency plans in the event of further public health obstacles, Holstein Canada has released the Committee of their obligations and will be taking the lead in organizing this year’s Convention. The Holstein Canada Board of Directors thanks the Committee and Holstein Ontario for their hard work, dedication, and understanding, and we look forward to working with them in the future.
Holstein Canada has assumed responsibility for continuing the organization of an exciting, diverse and unique hybrid Convention, one that combines both in-person and virtual attendance. The event is still slated to take place July 7 – 10 in Ottawa, Ontario.
Holstein Canada will be focusing on the Annual General Meeting and the 2020 Master Breeder celebrations; once we have firm plans for these events, we will evaluate the prospects for other opportunities.
Both the 2019 and the 2020 Master Breeders will be celebrated in a unique, original way – we will have more details to come. We hope that you will join us in whatever capacity is available to create an experience and memories that will last a lifetime.
