Dr. Flavio Schenkel and Dr. Filippo Miglior were recent recipients of two prestigious awards. Dr. Flavio Schenkel was the 2018 recipient of the J. L. Lush Award in Animal Breeding, presented by the American Dairy Science Association during the Annual Meeting in Knoxville, Tenn. The J. L. Lush Award was created to recognize outstanding research in animal breeding. Dr. Filippo Miglior was the 2018 recipient of the Rockefeller Prentice Memorial Award in Animal Breeding and Genetics presented by the American Society of Animal Science at its annual meeting in Vancouver, B.C. The Rockefeller Prentice Memorial Award recognizes an individual’s research excellence in breeding and genetics.

Dr. Flavio Schenkel is a professor of dairy cattle breeding and genomics at the University of Guelph, Canada.
