Trans-America Genetics welcomes Scott Barrington to the Quebec Sales Team

Scott Barrington and Julien Thomin

He joins this dynamic team starting immediately as the representative in the South Monteregie area. He and the 8 other Quebec sales representatives share the TAG philosophy with dairy farmers to help them maximise the genetics in their herds.

“We’re excited to have someone with Scott’s knowledge of farm economics and genetics join the team,” says Julien Thomin, Director of Sales. “His interest in genomics and TAG’s aggressive genetic policies are a perfect match”.

Scott grew up on the family farm, Elm Barr, where he has worked the past few years in charge of genetic development, production and profitability improvement. A graduate of MacDonald College, his experience includes specialized work with a pesticide and fertilizer company, farm work and sports maintenance.

“Dairy cattle genetics and bloodlines are my passion” states Scott. His interest and expertise will allow him to serve the partners and clients in this major dairy region very well.

Scott is involved in many sports, rugby, strength training and the outdoors. His competitive nature and strong work ethic will serve him well to support the fast growing market in Canada. TAG genetic products are now marketed in over 32 countries around the world.
