According to USDA’s July Milk Production report Idaho surpassed New York to rank third, while all other states maintained their rankings among the top 10 milking producing states. California and New Mexico experienced year-over-year declines in milk production. Wisconsin, Idaho and New York continued to see growth in July, producing an additional 147 million pounds of milk.
