Top the sale at $40,000 was Craigcrest Rejoices Sidney, a “Sid” bred heifer from Craigcrest Rubies Gold Rejoice (Ex-94-USA). Backed by four generations of Excellent dams, and due in April to “McCutchen” sold to St. Jacobs ABC, Enosburg, Vt. Her famous “Goldwyn” dam, Rejoice, was three times unanimous All-Canadian and All-American and has records to 15,124 kg milk, 4.3% fat, 3.5% protein (314-357-332). A full sister to Rejoice, Craigcrest Rubies Rachelle, brought the second high bid of $19,000 cast by Oakfield Corners Dairy, Oakfield, N.Y. First junior yearling at the Dufferin-Wellington Clubs Show this year, she is due in April to Siemers McCutch Kian.

Top selling milking female at $14,000 to Rob Wood, Cannington, Ont., was Craigcrest Baltimor Nellie (Ex-92), a 4-year-old “Baltimor” who completes eight generations of Excellent or Very Good. Fresh since August and carrying a short service to “Doorman”, she has records to 12,181 kg milk, 3.7% fat, 3.0% protein (278-279-259) and traces to Craigcrest TT Nadine (Ex-5E-14*).

Duckett-Sa Hero Fina (VG-86), a 2-year-old milking “Hero” granddaughter of Harvue Roy Frosty (Ex-97-3E-USA-GMD-1*), sold for $13,500 to Mike Duckett, Rudolph, Wis. Fresh since August, she is from a Very Good “Atwood” daughter of Frosty, the two-time World Dairy Expo grand champion by “Roy”.
