St Jacobs Cows LLC had their first classification of the newly assembled herd on Jan 15 with outstanding results. The herd consists of mostly 2 and 3 year olds and includes cows owned by Herd Manager Brent Maust and his family (Laurel Brook) and AJ and Jen Forward (Delta Rho). Highlights of the day include 10 Ex cows in the barn with a new Ex 94 Score on Damion Lyza and an Ex 3 Year Old daughter to Ashlyns Angel by Fever. Sanchez Carly from Chassity went 91 as did Gold Brittany (full sister to Gold Barbara). A pair of outstanding sisters of the Mausts each went 91 and a Sanchez from the Forwards went Ex as well. Also exciting were a pair of Aftershocks from the Ashlyn family that were 89 and 88 as 3 year olds. One of our most promising young cows is a Sid from Hazel that went 88 Ex Mam as a two year old. Many of these cows will be flushed and will have calves and embryos available.
