New York dairy farmer Kendra Lamb joined dairy checkoff partner McDonald’s today in New York City to celebrate #NationalCoffeeDay. The effort was part of McDonald’s “food journey,” in which the chain is seeking to build awareness of its commitment to quality ingredients and transparency. McDonald’s set up a pop-up café near a subway stop and served free lattes made with milk and drip coffee to commuters.

Lamb, who was joined by her two daughters, spoke with consumers about her career as a dairy farmer and what it takes to produce nutritious milk each day. Menu innovation by checkoff partners aims to give consumers more dairy-friendly items and grow sales for farmers.
