Milk Futures Move Higher while Cash Dairy Mixed in Chicago Wednesday

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange  Class III milk futures moved higher supported on Wednesday with a higher cheese trade while Class IV milk fell as butter declined in price. March class III milk futures up seven cents at $15.19. April 14 higher at $15.15. May milk up nine cents at $15.26. June up eight at $15.57. July through October contracts four to seven cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged Wednesday at $0.35. Blocks up $0.01 at $1.58. Barrels up $0.02 at $1.45. 10 trades were made, ranging from $1.43 to $1.45. Butter down $0.0375 at $2.2575. Eight trades made, with a range of $2.2575 to $2.30. Nonfat dry milk steady at $0.9750. Three trades, ranging from $0.97 to $0.9750
