Masterrind’s Successful Proof Run

MASTERRIND had a very successful April 2014 Sire Summary and continues to offer numerous breed leaders, both proven and genomic, plus several high ranking new graduates to help improve the genetic quality of our clients herds.

MASTERPROVEN:
Despite the annual base change in Germany a larger number of MASTERPROVEN sires maintained or even exceeded their last genetic data in multiple areas. With an RZG of 149 our high production sire Idevra Mascol Magorian took the lead again among the German Top rankings, whose pedigree is tracing back to the popular brood cow New-Way Patron Allie VG -87. More exciting is the return of Bakombre (Baxter x Goldwyn Destiny x A-L-H Oman Destiny x Markwell Durham Daisy) into the German Top 3 for RZG based on an outstanding milk & protein performance of more than 500 additional daughters (RZG 140, RZE 122, 2139 TPI, 2,16 PTAT).
Also in the German Top 10 remains Engslevgaard Mascol Mavid (Mascol x Eminenz x T-Burma), whose pedigree is as unique as his ability to sire outstanding components, functionality, great sire fertility and calving ease (RZG 137, RZM 133, GTPI 1936 TPI).
The MASTERRIND group of Elite Bolton sons (Bowers, Borislav, Lavish, Boyle) remained quite stabile through the base change and is led by the production leader Barnkamper Björk (Bolton x Oman x Sierra) who is above 4 points for longevity and ranks as the highest Bolton son in Germany (RZG 134, TPI 1949).

Another winner this round is the Baxter son Benstrup (Baxter x Durham x Rudolph) who is a son of Windsor-Manor Z Delight EX-93-USA 2E GMD straight out of the “longevity Queen” Windsor-Manor Rudolph Zip EX-95. By overcoming the base change Benstrup climbed  2 points in production and 1 point in Total Merit and offers strength and frames, great milk production plus shallow udders (RZG 127, TPI
1960).

If you search for different pedigrees, MASTERRIND can deliver. Particularly through Mowambo (Moscow x Goldwyn x Ronald x Novalis x Jabot), who continues to be a great health trait sire and a high milk transmitter at the same time. Since he was already popular as a genomic bull Mowambo added 472 new daughters this round and rose 3 points in RZM (132) and 1 point in RZG to 131, placing him #33 of the overall German Top rankings (TPI 1898).

Last rounds new release sire Carrowcroft Jenetor (Jango x Goldwyn x Brett x Patron) made some nice increases in production this time and penetrated into the German Top 100 bull rankings. Germany’s #1 Jango son traces back to the famous Patron daughter, Regancrest Debbie-Jo-ET EX-92, and sires tremendous milk & protein production along with an optimal rump structure and high & widely attached rear
udders (RZM 128, TPI 1913).
The third highest German Jango son is MASTERRIND’s young sire graduate Dewgood Jabez (Jango x Goldwyn x Marshall x Mattie G x Luke), whose early, uniform daughter group made a nice presence at the Show of the Best in February 2014. Jabez is a great source of components, particularly protein (+.16%
protein), and transmits a desirable rump structure, great feet and legs as well as quality udders.
For those looking for high reliable type sires, KHW Elm-Park Acme-ET RC , Jotan Red (both from Kamps-Hollow Altitude-ET *RC EX-95) or Go-Farm Baxtino (Baxter x Goldwyn x BW Marshall) from the Jeffrey-Way Formation Tate EX-92- family remain appealing choices. The Baxtino daughters at the Show of the Best 2014 in 2nd lactation underlined the quality of his type & udder transmission (RZE 130, PTAT 2,78).

Shining at the top of the MASTERPROVEN Red &White line-up is Huijben Elwood Red (Elayo x September x Tulip) from the Huijben Pietje 514 family, who provides great marks for milk & protein (RZM 136), udder health (RZS 134), Feet &Legs (129) plus calving ease (118) and ranks second on the Top 100 RZG list.
Another irresistible Red sire is Levant Red (Lawn Boy x Classic x Origin), who maintained his already astounding levels of milk, fat and protein while still siring high quality udders (120) with a desirable longer teat length plus he is a calving ease bull.

MASTERGEN:
There’s a New #1 in Germany, MASTERRIND’s hot genomic graduate Teemar Marce Astonishing (Maurice x Bookem x Shottle) debuts at the top of the gRZG list in April at 160 RZG (2314 GTPI, 827 NM$). He offers high milk solids, fantastic health traits and a superior udder transmission while being backed by the cow family of Dixie-Lee Aspen EX-92. Our highly demanded Genesis son Genestar (Genesis x Dorcy x Goldwyn) who sits in #8 position of the genomic Top list for RZG ranks also extremely high on different bases in Europe (Holland, France). Genestar offers the complete package of production, type, health traits and the well-known cow family of Savage-Leigh Bellwood Linda EX-92 (RZG 155, RZE 126).

Our Elite group of Mogul sons is led by Molotov (Mogul x Domain x Mascol) and Mr. President Drointon (Mogul x Man-O-Man x Baxter), both from great international cow families. Molotov hails back from the successful family of Milkworth Manfred Yadda VG-86 and offers that unique sire stack with greatest values all across the board (RZG 155, RZM 131, RZE 126). Drointon is over +1500 kg Milk, +63 kg protein, +132 for Type and +133 for Udders and originates from the well-respected Windy-Knoll Rudolph Promise EX-95 family, the same family that stands behind our highly ranked MASTERGEN sires Naberg (Numero Uno x Baxter x Durham x Rudolph; RZG 143, RZE 133) or the Polled Colt P son Polish Red P (Colt P x Advent x
Rudolph; RZG 129, RZE 118), who both can improve a variety of traits all at once.

MASTERRIND’s last round new release sires Boldi Air Force (Fernand x Observer x Shottle) from the well known Atwood family and Stantons Casual (Epic x Freddie x Lucky Star) from the popular Freddie daughter Stantons Freddie Cameo VG-2Yr, both held firm at # 19 and #30 of the German Top rankings. Air Force
combines superior components, great fitness traits and transmits remarkable udders (RZG 152, RZE 128, GTPI 2335, 2,80 PTAT) while Casual offers an impressive blend of production, type plus fitness traits and remained the #1 Epic son in the German Top rankings (RZG 151, GTPI 2372, RZE 131, PTAT 2,49).

MASTERRIND’s exciting Supersire sons from well-respected international cow families placing #1, #2 and #4 among all active sons of Supersire in the German Top list. Laeschway Ssire Starhawk (Supersire x Observer x Shottle) ranks as 12th on the RZG list and is in highest demand as he provides that great package of high production from superb udders along with a very unique Triple-A code of 516342. Second highest is Uecker Ssire Joclassic (Super Sire x Beacon x Jango) who offers an unique maternal sire stack and is currently used as a mating sire since he ranks particularly high on US base too (RZG 149, GTPI 2441).

First sons of our highly anticipated MASTERGEN bulls, Snowmaster and Poppe Snow RF, entered the German Top list in April. Monaco MR (Snowmaster x Planet x Goldwyn) from the Dutch Ebony family sprinted into the MASTERGEN line-up as the #15 genomic bull in Germany (RZG 153, RZE 118). A few places behind
him gives Socari (Snowmaster x Domain x Planet) a remarkable debut (#21) whose fine pedigree traces all the way back to Regancrest-PR Barbie EX-92, the premier brood cow in the Holstein world for type (RZG 152, RZE 126). The new Red Carrier Solaris RDC (Snow RC x Gerard x Shottle) from a deep French cow family stepped into the genomic spotlight with great figures all across the board (RZG 147,
RZE 127) to enhance our attractive group of Red carrier bulls.

The list of Polled sires includes another highly ranked son of Snow RF, Sosmar P RDC (Snow RF x Lawnboy x September), who is also an exciting descendant of the well-respected Windsor-Manor Rudolph Zip family (RZG 141, RZE 123). Our Polled group is better than ever and rounded up in April by two new Ladd P
sons, Lord Red P (Ladd P x Shottle x Rubens), one of the highest genomic bulls for type (RZG 142, RZE 141) and Lamont P (Ladd P Man-O-Man x Goldwyn), who is a great source of components and superb type straight from the world-famous cow family of Lylehaven Lila Z EX-94.

The high demand Sire of sons One-Red VRC (Numero Uno x Aftershock x Goldwyn) leads our remarkable group of Red genomic sires (RZG 149, RZE 140) followed by the newcomer and protein specialist Goch-Red (Glorious x Kylian x Spencer 2; RZG 147, RZM 136) from the popular Apina Massia family, who boasts that fantastic protein (+70 kg) along with remarkable health traits and functional type. Particularly noteworthy among our Red genomic sire group is Ackley Red (Acme RF x Observer x Forge) who displays a very attractive blend of production, type, fitness traits including easy calving plus he originates from the successful family of Curr-Vale Goldwyn Delicious EX-94 (RZG 140, RZE 130).
