The management team of Doug and James Cranston and Jeff Stephens continue to build the Taste of Ontario Spring Sale into one of the highlights of the spring sales.  Despite the traditional cold and windy weather that seems to come every time this sale switches from it’s traditional TAG format to auction, the sale had a large crowed and averaged $5194 on 85 head.

Topping the sale at $27,000 was a fancy 62.5″ Fever Jr. 2yr with loads of show potential for 2015. Bred by Devans with 8 generations of VG or EX and was purchased by Sweet Peas Holsteins of PA.

Selling for the 2nd highest total of the day was Bridgeview Authority Danica. Fresh since September and due in August with a Doorman heifer Danica is a maternal sister to Bridgeview Gibson Dottie EX-96 3E 4*, HM All-Canadian Mature Cow in 2009.  Consigned by Jakridge Holsteins and purchased by Pierre Boulet for $17,500.

Rounding out the top sellers a Dec 2014 Armani from Calbett Sanchez Eva VG-86 then Crockett-Acres Elita VG-87 then Crocket-Acres Mtot Elly EX-90 GMD DOM. Selling for $16,000 to Gracehaven & Royal Lynn Holsteins and was consigned by Doug Cranston and Legend Maker Holsteins
