Junior All-Ontario Show Program Announced

JrShowProgram_AD[1]

The Ontario Holstein Branch is pleased to announce a new show program that will encourage keen, young breeders to purchase and develop registered Holsteins. The Junior All Ontario Show Program will take some of the elements of the Junior All American program as well as some ideas that better suit our Ontario exhibitors. The age will be 15 to 25 years of age as of January 1st of the show year and the Junior will be a member of Holstein Canada through the Junior Membership or Regular Membership program. We welcome County Holstein Clubs or Show Committees across the province to manage this kind of show program within their own show.

The goal of this program is to encourage keen young breeders to become Junior or Regular Members of Holstein Canada, to purchase and develop registered Holsteins and to show/compete and get recognition. The animal must be transferred to Holstein Canada by June 30th of the show year and be registered at the Ontario Holstein Branch office by the same date. The Junior must have sole ownership of the animal or with another Junior as a partner.

The animal could show at multiple shows if having multiple owners from different counties. The show must have a minimum of 5 exhibitors in the Junior All Ontario animals to warrant a separate Champion class for heifers or cows.
