Honoring a golden career for GOLD CHIP

Select Sires commemorates the influence of 7HO10920 Mr Chassity GOLD CHIP-ET (EX-95). The Goldwyn son of the world-famous Regancrest S Chassity-ET (EX-92-EX-MS-GMD-DOM) passed away late last week. GOLD CHIP has been a cornerstone in Select Sires’ Showcase™ lineup for more than a decade. He has sired national and international champions, such as the most recent intermediate champion of the International Holstein Show, Oak-Ridge-K Gchip Turbo (EX-92), and many high-scoring cows, including Oakfield GC Darby-ET (EX-95-EX-MS) and Ryan-Vu Gchip Claudette-ET (EX-95). GOLD CHIP can be found on the maternal side of up-and-coming Showcase sire, 7HO13839 TATOO.

“With more than 43,000 daughters in his proof, GOLD CHIP was a predictable source of consistent results,” said Kevin Jorgensen, senior Holstein sire analyst at Select Sires Inc. “He boosted mastitis resistance, added balance and fitness and created cows that improved over time. GOLD CHIP was a true customer satisfaction sire and we were blessed to have him as a member of the Showcase program.”

Select Sires extends their sincere gratitude to the breeders of GOLD CHIP, Ernest W. Kueffner and David R. Dyment of Boonsboro, Maryland.
