Holsteins headed to Wisconsin for 2019 National Holstein Convention

The Wisconsin Holstein Association will host the 2019 National Holstein Convention, June 24-27 in Appleton, Wis.. Held in the heart of America’s Dairyland, the 2019 convention is expected to be among the top attended gatherings of dairy farmers, youth members and industry representatives in the United States.

This will be a cow convention as attendees will see some of North America’s best cows and discuss the latest research on dairy cattle genetics and have the opportunity to purchase some of the industry’s elite type and genomic animals,” said convention co-chair Corey Geiger.

In the spirit of the convention theme, the 2019 event will make a legendary leap by featuring the first National Genetics Conference in over five years. In addition, the Young Dairy Leaders Institute (YDLI) will hold its 25th Anniversary Leadership Conference during the convention. The convention will also offer traditional favorites, such as educational seminars, a multitude of Junior Holstein contests, the National Convention Sale, and much more.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour some of Wisconsin’s finest Registered Holstein farms. The legendary lineup includes a variety of dairying and breeding styles representing more than 50,000 cows.

Pre-convention tours will be held on June 24th featuring:

  • Jenlar Holsteins, Larry and Jennifer Meyer Family
  • Forest Ridge Holsteins, Kurt and Sarah Loehr
