Gouge Joins All-West Team In Washington

Lexi GougeAll-West Select Sires is pleased to announce the addition of Lexi Gouge to the technician team.  Gouge grew up in Astoria, Oregon and is a 2014 Oregon State University graduate with a degree in Agricultural Sciences.  She also obtained minor degrees in Agriculture Resource & Economincs and Animal Sciences.  Lexi is part of an All-West internship training program and will spend the majority of the fall and winter breeding cows in southcentral Washington.  She’ll also work with the All-West team to assist in heat detection and Select Reproductive Solutions (SRS) work.

Lexi has a diverse background, participating most recently in a study-abroad program through Oregon State where she spent several months in Lanco, Chile, working in the Chilean performance horse industry and the Chilean Rodeo.  She’s also completed a summer internship at both the Six Mile Land & Cattle Company (a division of Three Mile Canyon Farms) in Boardman, Oregon and at World-Wide Sires, assisting A.I. technicians implant Angus embryos into dairy heifers.

At school she was very active in the Meat Science and Steer-A-Year Clubs, as well as the Young Farmers & Ranchers Club.  She served as the Astoria High School FFA Vice President and was a 4-H member for 10 years.

“I wanted to work for All-West Select Sires because it’s a reputable company that presented an opportunity of employment that fell right in line with my career goals,” said Lexi.  “I’m really enjoying learning the details of bovine reproduction and working with the technician team, and the dairymen, in central Washington!”

Gouge began her work with the All-West team in September.
