Gillette Ties Record with Thirteenth Bull to Recieve the Class Extra Designation

Gillette_Jeep[1]

Gillette Holsteins loves to set records.  First, it was Smurf setting the world record for milk production (Read more: World Records Are Not Only Set at the Olympics) now it is Gillette Jeep becoming the 13th bull bred to receive the Class Extra designation, equaling the record set by Comestar.  The coveted Class Extra award is given to bulls that sire a combination of Superior Type and Superior Production. Both his sire, Windbrook, and paternal grand-sire, FBI, are also Gillette bred Class Extra sires. The dam of Jeep is a Shottle sister to the Goldwyn sons Jordan and Jerrick. Also appearing high on the list are the legendary Canadian herds Hanoverhill (with nine), Montvic (eight), and Braedale (eight).
