Fire erupts at Four Cubs Farm

A fire broke out at the Four Cubs Farm today after 11 a.m.

The dairy farm is owned by the Petersons at 23250 S. Williams Rd. in Grantsburg. Grantsburg Fire Department was dispatched around 11:25 a.m. Other departments dispatched to the scene were Siren, Webster, Frederic, Cushing and Pine City.

Black smoke and flames were billowing out of one of the barns in front of the silos for almost an hour while firefighters were working to contain it.

By 1:15 p.m. Grantsburg was releasing some of the area departments who had responded to a request for mutual aid.

Cars were parked all along on Crosstown road while the fire was being put out in the rain and snow.

The Petersons are looking for any and all help they can find with trucks/trailers/drivers to get their 800 dairy cows to other farms. Call Ben at 715-491-8211 if you can help.
